‘BJP is only scared of AAP’: Arvind Kejriwal addresses crowd in Punjab

PTC News Desk: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that "BJP is scared of only one party - AAP". His remarks came as he addressed a gathering in Punjab's Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha constituency.

Speaking in Punjab's Khadoor Sahib, Kejriwal slammed the central government and the Punjab governor, accusing them of withholding funds for the state.

Talking about the AAP's meteoric rise over the last decade, he stated that the party was able to form governments in two states (Delhi and Punjab) and win assembly seats in others.

"BJP is afraid that if AAP completes so many people's welfare projects, no one will be able to prevent AAP's victory...The people of Delhi have decided to give the AAP all seven Lok Sabha seats...if the people of Punjab give us all 13 Lok Sabha seats, all of your wishes will be fulfilled...The BJP is scared of only one party: the AAP," Kejriwal said.

He went on to say that Punjab has had corrupt governments for the past 75 years. He stated that for the first time in 75 years, the Punjab government has bought a private power plant (GVK Power's 540-megawatt private thermal power plant at Goindwal Sahib in Tarn Taran), at a low cost. He promised low-cost electricity to merchants, businesspeople, and industrialists through the power plant.

Kejriwal went on to say that the Punjab government's newly launched flagship scheme, 'Ghar Ghar Muft Ration' (doorstep ration delivery), will decimate the state's 'ration mafia'.

Notably, Kejriwal announced on Saturday that the AAP will contest all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one in Chandigarh. He stated that AAP candidates for each of these 14 seats will be announced within the next 10-15 days.
