PTC News Desk: Chandigarh Police have blocked a road at the Chandigarh-New Chandigarh border, but vehicles heading to PGI are permitted entry. Restrictions apply only to tractor-trolleys and protesters. Traffic congestion was observed near Civil Hospital in Phase 6, Mohali, due to barricading on the Chandigarh border.
Chandigarh Police issued a traffic advisory on Monday due to the farmers' proposed march to Delhi, advising people to avoid certain roads for travel. Neighbouring states have also issued traffic advisories. In Mohali, massive traffic snarls were reported, extending near Ghaggar bridge in Zirakpur from the diversion near the Dera Bassi flyover.
Traffic movement has significantly slowed down on the Chandigarh-Delhi national highway, with vehicles diverted through the Barwala-Yamunanagar road for those traveling from Chandigarh to Delhi. Traffic on the Zirakpur-Dera Bassi stretch was moving at a slow pace.
Precautionary measures are in place in Chandigarh on February 13 to maintain law and order and ensure smooth traffic flow. The public is advised to avoid travel towards various barriers and junctions across Chandigarh and Mohali, as outlined in the advisory.
