Embrace of Love: Sukhbir Singh Badal shares emotional video of Sikh soldier's joyous family reunion
Chandigarh, August 16: With enthusiasm and fervour, India marked its 77th Independence Day on Tuesday. People from diverse backgrounds celebrated this historic day.
As Independence Day evening descended, SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal shared a video on Twitter featuring a young Sikh soldier.
The video captures the poignant moment of a soldier's long-awaited return home. His joyous family had set up a red carpet to warmly receive him. Stepping proudly on the crimson path, he advances toward his residence. At the entrance, a message on the floor reads, "A Warm Homecoming," flanked by two drawn guns.
Subsequently, the soldier respectfully bends down to touch the feet of an elderly woman, embracing others warmly. He offers a salute to a family member, followed by an affectionate hug, and is graciously offered sweets by others.
Sukhbir Singh Badal wrote, “Punjabis like this young boy have always been on the forefront in the service of the nation and made their families and country proud. On the occasion of #IndependenceDay, I salute their courage, valour and selfless service for the nation.”
