Chandigarh, November 15: In a coordinated effort, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police successfully intercepted and recovered a suspected drone near Mianwali village in Tarn Taran district on the November 14-15 night. The swift response by BSF troops, following established protocols, played a crucial role in thwarting a potential security threat.On the following day, 15 November 2023, a joint search operation was conducted in collaboration with Punjab Police. At approximately 07:13 am, the security forces discovered a broken drone, along with two batteries, in a farming field adjacent to Mianwali village in Tarn Taran district.The recovered drone has been identified as a Quadcopter, specifically the DJI Matrice 300 RTK model, manufactured in China. This successful operation marks another instance where BSF and Punjab Police effectively countered an attempt by smugglers to use drones for the illicit transportation of narcotics. The collaborative efforts of the security forces showcase their commitment to maintaining border security and preventing unauthorised activities.
