Notably, for the first time since March 18, when the police launched a massive crackdown against the Waris Punjab De head, Amritpal Singh on Wednesday released a video "calling upon the Sikh sangat to come together if they want to save Punjab". In the video, he said he is not in police custody. Amritpal claimed that he was absolutely fine and nothing could harm him.

He urged Sikh sangat to join the Sarbat Khalsa campaign in Punjab's Bathinda on the occasion of Baisakhi on April 14 if they wanted to save Punjab.
