Punjab reports 3,969 new Covid-19 cases, 7 deaths in 24 hours

Coronavirus Punjab Update: Punjab reported 3,969 new cases of Covid-19 infections on Monday with as many as seven new casualties in the last 24 hours. As the Covid gradually rises, the poll-bound state admitted 11 new patients in ICU and 4 on ventilator support. SAS Nagar recorded 687 new coronavirus cases while Ludhiana (806) reported the highest number of Covid cases in Punjab. Patiala (455), Jalandhar (311), Pathankot (290), Amritsar (242) and Hoshiarpur (236) were among the other regions with the high number of Covid-19 cases. The other districts in Punjab with low Covid cases are Kapurthala (43), Mansa (21), Fazilka (20), Muktsar (16). Also read | Health ministry issues guidelines for Omicron patients; details inside Furthermore, seven new Covid deaths were reported in Punjab with two in Bathinda, Gurdaspur (1), Jalandhar (1), Ludhiana (2), and Patiala (1). Covid patients who are critical and on ventilator support are 12 while the number of patients on oxygen support has increased to 304. Apart from a rise in Covid-19 cases in Punjab, a total of 885 patients were discharged in the state on Monday. Amritsar reported 20 new recoveries while Bathinda reported 22, Faridkot (1), Fazilka (3), Ferozepur (3), Fatehgarh Sahib (6), Gurdaspur (43), Hoshiarpur (10), Jalandhar (82), Kapurthala (23), Ludhiana (15), Moga (5), Muktsar (2), Pathankot (72), Patiala (537), Ropar (8), Sangrur (2), SAS Nagar (30) and Tarn Taran (1).
