Former Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh’s house targeted in firing
Amritsar: A firing incident has been reported outside the residence of former Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh, leaving his family worried and creating an atmosphere of fear in the area.
The incident came to light after a bullet mark was found on a car parked outside the house. A live round was also recovered from the spot.
According to family members, the firing has caused concern among those living at the residence. They said the bullet struck a vehicle parked outside the house. A bullet round was subsequently found at the location.

The police reached the spot after receiving information about the firing and started an investigation.
Investigators have taken CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around the area to identify the person (s) involved.
Although the footage has reportedly not provided a clear visual identification of the suspected shooters so far, the sound of gunshots is believed to have been captured by the cameras.
Police officials said the matter is being investigated from all possible angles. Teams are examining the CCTV footage and other evidence collected from the scene in an effort to establish the sequence of events and identify those responsible.
Officials said efforts are underway to trace the suspects and determine the reason behind the firing.
