Who is Shruti Vora ? 1st Indian rider to win 3-star Grand Prix event

Shruti Vora becomes first Indian to win 3-star GP event | The Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious and challenging events in the Formula One calendar renowned for its demanding circuit, which includes tight corners, elevation changes, and a tunnel section. 

The race attracts a glamorous crowd, with celebrities and high-profile guests flocking to the principality to witness the spectacle. 


In a groundbreaking achievement for Indian equestrian sports, Shruti Vora has etched her name in the annals of history by becoming the first Indian rider to win a three-star Grand Prix event. 

Riding her trusted horse, Magnanimous, Vora showcased an exceptional performance at the CDI-3 event held in Lipica, Slovenia, from June 7 to 9.

Vora's stellar performance earned her a remarkable score of 67.761 points, placing her ahead of her competitors and securing the top spot. Moldova's Tatiana Antonenco, riding Aachen, came in second with a score of 66.522 points, while Austria's Juliane Jerich, on Quarter Girl, rounded out the top three with 66.087 points.

Equestrian Federation Of India also took to X handle and wrote, "Historic Achievement Alert! #ShrutiVora has rewritten history by becoming the first Indian to win a 3* Grand Prix event in Lipica, Slovenia with a scoreline of 67.761 points"

In a statement by Equestrian Federation of India press release, EFI Secretary General Col Jaiveer Singh praised Vora’s exceptional performance  and said, “This is great news for the Indian equestrian fraternity. This inspiring performance from Shruti has made the country proud. Many women are taking up the sport and such milestones will inspire many more riders to strive for excellence.”
