India Post GDS recruitment 2024 merit list released for 12 circles: How to check your results

PTC News Desk: India Post has announced the results for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2024 for 12 circles as of August 20, 2024. The initial merit list has been released for the circles of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The official notice indicates that results for the remaining circles will be announced soon. Candidates who applied for the GDS positions can view their results on the official India Post website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

The GDS merit list is based on marks obtained in the Class 10th/Matric examinations from recognized boards. This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak positions across 23 circles in India.

How to Check India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Results:

• Visit the Official Website: Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
  
  
• Find the Merit List: Click on the ‘GDS Online Engagement Schedule, July-2024: List-I of Shortlisted Candidates Published’ tab on the homepage.
  
  
• Log In: Enter your password and registration number.
  
  
• Submit Details: Click the submit button.
  
  
• View Results: The results will be displayed on the screen.
  
  
• Download: Save and download the result for future reference.

Next Steps for Selected Candidates:

Those who have been selected will need to undergo a document verification process through the

Divisional Head assigned to their names. Required documents include:

• Original Class 10/SSC/SSLC mark sheets
  
  
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  
  
• Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
  
  
• 60-day Computer Knowledge Training Certificate from a recognized institute
  
  
• Submitted application form

Upon successful verification, candidates will receive appointment letters. The GDS Recruitment includes two main posts: Assistant Branch Postmaster and Branch Postmaster.

Salary Details:

• Assistant Branch Postmaster: Rs 10,000 to Rs 24,470 per month
  
  
• Branch Postmaster: Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380 per month
  
  
• Chowkidar: Rs 20,000 per month
