Gurpreet Ghuggi breaks silence on Rs 5-cr controversy; files cyber crime complaint, warns of court action | Watch
Gurpreet Ghuggi controversy: Veteran Punjabi actor and comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi has publicly responded to serious allegations circulating against him, firmly dismissing them as deliberate and malicious propaganda orchestrated by certain individuals.
A Canada-based YouTuber had levelled allegations against Ghuggi, claiming he had paid Rs 5 crore to a girl with whom he allegedly had a relationship, and that she had become pregnant. Ghuggi has categorically denied these claims.
In a video, Gurpreet Ghuggi said his entire life spanning 35 to 40 years has been built on sheer hard work. He made it clear that he neither fears nor bows down to such pressure tactics. He said the girl too suffered mental trauma as a result of the controversy.
A complaint has been formally filed with the Cyber Crime department. Ghuggi also hinted that he is aware of the individuals and forces behind this campaign, and warned that if the matter escalates, he is fully prepared to approach the courts.
Expressing his sentiments, Ghuggi recited a couplet:
"Vo samandar khangaalne mein lage hain,
Hamari kamiyan nikaalne mein lage hain,
Jinki khud ki langotiyan hain phati hui,
Vo hamari pagdi uchhaalne mein lage hain."
He also stated with conviction: "My stature has only grown further; every attempt to cut me down and reduce me to your size, just as before, will fail."
