Wrestler Murder Case: Delhi Court extends Sushil Kumar's police remand
In a major development in the wrestler murder case, a Delhi Court on Saturday extended Sushil Kumar's police remand for 4 days in the murder of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi. Even as the court extended the police remand of Sushil Kumar's associate Ajay by four days for custodial interrogation in wrestler Sagar Rana's murder case. Delhi Police had asked for 7-day custody for the wrestler and his associate, however, the Rohini Court granted them only 4 days of custodial interrogation. Sushil and his associate Ajay were absconding since they were named in the murder case of fellow wrestler Sagar Rana. Sushil is India's most-decorated wrestler with 2 Olympic medals, 3 Commonwealth Games gold medals, 1 world championship gold, 1 bronze in the Asian Games, and 4 Asian Championship medals. Earlier on Friday, Delhi Police's Crime Branch arrested another accused in the Sagar Rana murder case who claimed that he was one of those who beat up the wrestlers on the night of May 4.
