After murder of PFI leader, RSS worker hacked to death in Kerala
Palakkad (Kerala), April 16: Just a day after the murder of a PFI leader, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker was hacked to death in Palakkad on Saturday, informed the officials. The BJP’s district leadership in the area claimed that the PFI and its political wing, the Social Democratic Party of India, were behind Saturday’s murder. The deceased has been identified as Sreenivasan, a former Sharirik Shikshan Pramukh of the RSS. The RSS leader was hacked to death at a shop by a group of people who had reached there on bikes. Earlier, a Popular Front of India (PFI) worker Subair (43) was killed in Palakkad on Friday. Subair was attacked while he was on a bike along with his father. The police discovered that the assailants' car – which has yet to be identified – was registered in the name of RSS leader S Sanjith, who was killed by PFI-SDPI men in November last year. According to the authorities, Sanjith's relatives confirmed that the car belonged to him but had been left at a workshop months before his death. They were unable to identify who had taken the car from the workshop. The police also found that another car, reportedly abandoned by Subair's attackers, was rented on Friday morning by a local BJP worker named Rameshan, who is now absconding. More investigations into the matter are underway. Also Read | Covid-19: India logs 975 new cases, 4 deaths in 24 hours -PTC News
