Ahead of PM Narendra Modi's Punjab visit, SAD prepares five demands
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Punjab on January 5, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday said that they had prepared a charter of five demands, which would be presented to him.
"Prime Ministers have been coming to Punjab raising hopes of undoing injustice done to the state by successive central govt. I urge PM Narendra Modi to make a difference on Jan 5 by transferring Chandigarh, Pbi speaking areas, and bestowing our Riparian right over waters," Sukhbir Singh Badal tweeted.

"Happy that PGI Satellite Centre Ferozepur, a desperately needed medical facility for border belt secured by me at great pains will see a belated inauguration by PM during his visit on Jan 5. I urge expeditious completion of the project," he added.

PM Narendra Modi is set to visit Punjab on January 5 to lay the foundation stone of the PGI satellite Centre at Ferozepur. It will be his first visit to Punjab after the repeal of farm laws and the end of farmers' protests.
The PM had not visited Punjab since farm laws were issued and protests started on June 5, 2020.
