COVID-19 situation in Delhi: While coronavirus cases in Delhi are witnessing spike these days, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said one of the reasons behind the surge was air pollution. During an online press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that the main reason behind the spike in coronavirus cases in Delhi was pollution. Arvind Kejriwal also said that the COVID-19 situation in Delhi should come under control in the next 7 to 10 days. "We are taking all the necessary measures," he added. Meanwhile, Dr VK Soni, Head, Environment and Research Centre, IMD, said that "Presently Delhi's Air Quality is very poor and is expected to go worse to severe tomorrow." AQI will improve after Diwali and there are chances of drizzle and rain on November 15," he added. Delhi on Thursday reported 7,053 new COVID-19 cases, 6,462 recoveries and 104 deaths. Likewise, the total number of coronavirus cases in Delhi increased to 4,67,028 including 4,16,580 recoveries, 43,116 active cases and 7,332 deaths. -PTC News
