Every year around Diwali, air quality worsens. This year, pollution levels were recorded at far lower levels than the past few years, affecting lives of people in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Lucknow. The double impact of cracker bursting and stubble burning has precipitated smog to such an extent that schools were closed. Under the circumstances, people are scrambling for air purifiers, masks, indoor plants and salt lamps etc. Air purifying indoor plants are in high demand.
