Cold wave intensifies in Punjab as Adampur shivers at minus 1.7
Cold waves intensified in Punjab and Haryana. Adampur shivered at minus 1.7 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Dense fog affected normal life at many places in Punjab and Haryana. According to the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), the foggy conditions continue to prevail on Saturday morning in many places like Ambala, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Amritsar.

Cold wave intensifies in Punjab and Haryana
The minimum temperatures at several places have dropped below the freezing points. After Adampur, Faridkot braved the chill at 0.4 degrees Celsius. Halwara and Bathinda were the coldest at 0.6 degrees C. Amritsar braved chilling waves at 0.8 degrees C.
