BAFTA 2024: Deepika Padukone presents major awards at BAFTA Film Awards in shimmery Sabyasachi saree

BAFTA 2024: Bollywood Diva and one of Bollywood's leading actresses Deepika Padukone graced the prestigious British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) for the first time, marking a significant moment in her career. Stepping onto the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall in London, Deepika radiated elegance and sophistication. 

Deepika Padukone presented the award for the Best Film not in the English language to actor Jonathan Glazer for 'The Zone of Interest' at the BAFTA Film Awards 2024.

The 77th BAFTA Film Awards ceremony is currently underway at London's Royal Festival Hall.


 

Deepika made heads turn on the red carpet of the BAFTA Awards 

For the event, Deepika adorned herself in a stunning saree featuring shimmering golden and silver hues embellished with sequins throughout. She complemented the ensemble with a matching blouse adorned with strappy sleeves. The actor opted for a chic messy hair bun and accessorized with statement earrings.

Amidst applause from the audience, Deepika took the stage and announced the award. 
Taking to Instagram, Deepika recently shared a post on her stories that she captioned, "Gratitude."

BAFTA awardees

Director Christopher Nolan's biopic film 'Oppenheimer' dominated the BAFTA Film Awards 2024 with seven wins including Best Director, Best Film and Best Leading Actor awards.
The ceremony was held at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Poor Things had a rich showing with five BAFTAs including Leading Actress for Emma Stone as well as Costume, Make Up and Hair, Production Design and Special Visual Effects, as per Deadline, a US-based media outlet.

Entirely shut out were 'Killers of the Flower Moon' which had nine nominations coming into this evening, Bradley Cooper's 'Maestro' which had seven, and the biggest box office movie of 2023, Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie'.
