PTC News Desk: In a significant development in the high-stake battle over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur's approximately Rs 30,000 crore estate, his two children from his marriage with Karishma Kapoor have approached Delhi High Court, seeking fair share.

The siblings have filed a civil suit claiming that their stepmother, Priya Kapur—the third wife of Sunjay Kapur—has attempted to forge their late father’s will to gain full control of his assets.

Acting through their mother as legal guardian, the children have sought partition of the estate, full accounting of assets, and a permanent injunction against the defendants.

They have argued that they do not have complete knowledge of their father’s holdings at the time of his death and accuse Priya Kapur of withholding key details. A list of known properties has been attached, but the plaintiffs allege concealment of additional assets.

According to the plaint, until Sunjay Kapur’s sudden death on June 12, 2025, during a polo match in Windsor, UK, the children shared a close bond with him, frequently traveling, holidaying, and participating in his personal and business affairs. They allege that Priya Kapur initially denied the existence of a will, claiming all assets were under the RK Family Trust, but later produced a document dated March 21, 2025, as his will—raising suspicions of forgery.

The children have maintained that their father had consistently assured them of their financial security, initiated business ventures in their names, acquired assets through personal and corporate means, and designated them as beneficiaries of the family trust. These promises, they say, were reflected in shared experiences such as family vacations and business discussions.

Following his death, the children performed the final rites, with the son lighting the pyre at Lodhi Cremation Ground on June 19.
