The makers of The Kerala Story 2 plan to approach a higher bench of the Kerala High Court to challenge a single judge’s order that has stayed the film’s release.
The producers are expected to file an appeal soon and have requested the detailed court order to be released quickly so they can challenge it without delay. The team is in a hurry because the film is scheduled to release on February 27 and they want urgent relief to avoid further delays to its theatrical release.
The film is directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The story claims that young Hindu women are allegedly lured into interfaith marriages, abused, and forced to convert to Islam.
The film has sparked controversy since its trailer was released, leading to legal challenges and the current court stay on its release.
