Taking to X on Saturday, Vijay Deverakonda shared that the leak reminded him of a similar experience early in his career. He stated about the emotional toll it takes feelings of helplessness, being targeted, and losing hope. He stressed that a film represents the hard work and dreams of many people, including actors, directors, and producers, all of which are put at risk when such incidents occur.
He further urged authorities to act swiftly and take strict measures against those responsible. According to him, failure to address the issue promptly would reflect a larger systemic problem. He also pointed out how such acts highlight a lack of sensitivity and the extent to which some individuals go to cause harm without considering the consequences. Vijay concluded by extending his full support to the entire team behind the film.
Several other prominent figures also condemned the leak. Veteran actor Rajinikanth described the incident as shocking and painful, urging film associations to take a stand against piracy. Actors like Chiranjeevi, Kamal Haasan, and Sivakarthikeyan also voiced their concern over the issue.
Producers demands legal action
The makers of Jana Nayagan, led by KVN Productions LLP, have initiated legal proceedings against those behind the leak. In a firm statement, they warned that all digital activities are traceable and urged audiences not to watch or share the leaked content.

Jana Nayagan stars Tamil superstar Vijay and has generated significant buzz, especially as it is rumored to be his final film before fully stepping into politics. The film is directed by H. Vinoth and features a strong cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju. Supporting roles are played by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and others.
Originally scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, the film has now been indefinitely delayed due to issues involving the Central Board of Film Certification.
