PTC News Desk: Singer B Praak has allegedly received a death threat from someone claiming to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The caller reportedly demanded ₹10 crore from the Punjabi and Bollywood artist and warned that if the money wasn’t paid, Praak would be “buried alive.”
As per a complaint lodged with Mohali police, an unknown person called Punjabi singer Dilnoor—who works closely with B Praak—on January 5, but he missed the call. The next day, Dilnoor received another call from an international number. When he answered, he became suspicious of the conversation and ended the call right away. He has now filed a written complaint with the Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and the matter is currently being investigated.
He then received a voice message in which the caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi and demanded Rs 10 crore from B Praak. “Pass this message to B Praak that we want 10 crore. You have one week’s time. Go to any country you want, but if anyone associated with him is found nearby, we will cause damage," the audio message said and then added that if the demand isn’t met, they will “reduce him (B Praak) to dust."
B Praak is an Indian vocalist, music director and producer known for his contributions to Punjabi and Hindi music. Born Pratik Bachan on 7 February 1986 in Chandigarh, he began his career as a music producer and earned recognition by creating several hit Punjabi tracks before turning to singing.
He shot to prominence with emotional songs like Mann Bharrya, which became a major success and cemented his place as a top singer. He is known for his frequent collaborations with lyricist Jaani, together delivering many chart-topping numbers. Some of his notable works include Teri Mitti (Kesari), Filhall, Pachtaoge, Ranjha (Shershaah), Maana Dil, and Kesariyo Rang.
