Fernandes to be cremated tomorrow; ashes to be buried in Christian cemetery

Former Defense Minister George Fernandes will be cremated tomorrow (January 31). The ashes will be buried in a Christian cemetery on Friday (February 1).

Briefing the media, wife of George Fernandes Leila Kabir said that a memorial prayer will be held at their Panchsheel Park residence on Thursday morning before the cremation. The cremation will be held at the Lodhi electric crematorium at 3 pm.

Then the ashes will be buried at the Christian cemetery on Prithviraj Road on Friday morning. According to media sources, the last journey to the crematorium will be in an Army vehicle in honour of the former Defense Minister. The last journey will begin from his residence at 11 am.
