Cancer, if detected early, is curable, says Dr CS Pruthi,, Chairman of the Capitol Hospital. To help suspected cases of cancer, Capitol Hospital will organise free cancer check up camps every Wednesday. The first free cancer check up camp was held today.

The hospital was all geared up to screen maximum number of patients for cancer. The camp was organised at Rehru Chowk on the Pathankot Road in Jalandhar. It started at 9.30 in the morning and continued till 3 pm. The camp not only provided free check up services but also offered huge discounts on various diagnostic tests.

Doctors from the hospital said cancer was not a preventable disease, yet it could be treated if it is detected timely. Therefore, screenings are important for timely treatment.
