Protesters clash with police and MC officials during demolition drive in Jalandhar
Anti-demolition protest in Lateefpura in Jalandhar turned violent on Tuesday with locals clashing with the police and Municipal Corporation (MC) officials.

According to information, locals pelted stones at officials of the Municipal Corporation of Jalandhar and the police and tried to prevent the demolition. The police had to resort to baton charge to bring the situation under control.

Ahead of clash, security arrangements have been beefed up to conduct the demolition drive peacefully.
