IMD: Heavy to very heavy rainfall in Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday has predicted heavy to heavy rainfall in the areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, of around minimum of 4mm rainfall to 17mm rainfall in Punjab. The Indian Meteorological Department issued an alert earlier this week about the incessant rainfall on Thursday and Friday. IMD has predicted the incessant rainfall for isolated areas like Konkan, Goa, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Assam, Meghalaya, Gujarat region and Jharkhand. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh issued an alert to all the DCs from the havoc of rainfall and asked them to be prepared amid the flooded district of Sangrur and Patiala.

Also, the Punjab CM conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Patiala and Sangrur, earlier this week. Meanwhile, Assam and Bihar along with Mumbai faced the worst monsoon ever and again the rain is predicted in Maharashtra and Bihar.
