J-K: Indian Army arrest 'hybrid terrorist' of LeT; hand grenades, weaponry seized

Budgam (Jammu and Kashmir), August 8: Indian Army's 34 RR unit has arrested a 'hybrid' terrorist of the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the Budgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

The arrested person has been identified as Arshid Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Sangam Budgam.

The arrest was made by a joint team of Srinagar Police and 2RR at Lawaypura and officials also recovered incriminating materials from the accused's possession, which include 5 pistols, 5 magazines, and 50 rounds.

Two hand grenades were also recovered.

According to reports, a case has been registered at Shalteng Police Station.

Jammu and Kashmir: 5 LeT terrorist associates arrested in Pulwama

Earlier on May 1, the Indian Army's 34 RR unit along with Kulgam Police from Kashmir arrested another 'hybrid' terrorist of the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from Kashmir.

The arrested terrorist was in contact with Pakistan-based terrorists and local LeT terrorists. He was tasked to execute terror incidents.
