Jammu and Kashmir: Army Jawan killed as Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Rajouri district

In a major incident, a soldier has been killed as Pakistan violated ceasefire in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday. An Army personnel was killed after Pakistan troops targeted the front posts and villages with mortar shelling and small arm firing along Line of Control (LoC).

This is the second ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the last three days. The soldier succumbed to the injuries, while he was manning a forward post in Sunderbani sector. The soldier was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead.

The ceasefire took place at around 6:00 AM in the morning and continued for hours. The nearby residents were panicked who were advised to take precautionary measures for their safety.

Recently, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday. However, Pakistan targeted the Mendhar sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, which caused several bullet injuries to the civilians, that time as well.
