Kartarpur Corridor : Sikh sangat opposes Congress chief Sunil Jakhar speech Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Dera Baba Nanak-Karatarpur Sahib road corridor in the presence of the Punjab Chief Minister and Union ministers. However, the inauguration ceremony saw a huge rage among the Sikh sangat when Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Chief, Sunil Jakhar started delivering his speech. The Sikh sangat present in the inauguration strongly protested against Sunil Jakhar,for his remarks regarding the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Sunil  Jakhar had said in Sultanpur Lodhi on Friday that the foundation stone of partition between India and Pakistan had been laid when the Hindu and the Muslim followers of Guru Nanak Dev ji were divided over his “Chaadar” ( sheet) to be cremated separately as per the rites of each religion when Guru Sahib left for his heavenly abode.” - PTC News
