Major fire at slum in Bandra, no loss of life reported

A major fire broke out at a slum in Bandra on Tuesday. The massive fire broke out in suburban Bandra. It took eight water tankers and nine fire engines to douse the flames.

The incident was first reported from Nargis Dutt Nagar slum at 11:50 am. It is located opposite of Bandra fire station. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) disaster management cell rushed to the spot.

The joint effort of the fire brigade, Mumbai Police Personnel, and ward staffers brought the fire down. Mumbai BJP chief, Ashish Shelar, oversaw the entire rescue operation. No loss of life or property has been reported so far. The fire was triggered by the cylinder blast in the slum.
