Mandira Bedi breaks gender stereotypes as she carries bier of husband Raj Kaushal
Raj Kaushal Death Funeral: Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi lost her husband Raj Kaushal on Wednesday as he passed away due to cardiac arrest. Raj was a filmmaker and a producer.
He passed away at the age of 49 when he suffered a heart attack at his residence in Mumbai. In the pictures from Raj Kaushal's funeral, Mandira Bedi was seen paying her last respect and even carried the bier outside her house.

As per the tradition, a woman is not expected to even touch the bier or carry it to the crematorium. Mandira Bedi is always known for creating her own rules.

She broke that stereotype as she carried her husband’s bier to bid him goodbye in her own way. Though she seemed inconsolable yet she was strong enough to find her way to be near her husband during his heavenly abode.
Mandira was supported by her friends as Ashish Chowdhry, Ronit Roy, Apoorva Agnihotri, Huma Qureshi, and others were lined up outside her house as they tried to comfort her.
Following Raj Kaushal's death, the Bollywood industry started pouring in condolences to the departed soul.
It may be recalled that Mandira Bedi and Raj Kaushal got married in 1999. They welcomed their first child in 2011 while the couple adopted a girl later and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal.
