MP: 18 cows die due to cold wave

Nearly 18 cows died in cow sanctuary due to intense cold wave in Madhya Pradesh, Agar Malwa's District Collector told media today.

Briefing the media, he said that post-mortem was performed upon all dead cows so as to check any further mortality among the protected cattle. He further said that the Administration was making arrangements to tackle the problem of intense cold wave.

The District Administration has also earmarked a budget to maintain the Gaushala. Also, the authorities were taking steps to ensure quality fodder for the cows.
