CBSE Class 12 result 2026 out: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026. Along with the announcement, the board confirmed that it will not release a merit list this year as well.
In its official statement, the CBSE said the decision was taken to discourage unhealthy competition among students. Instead of publishing a list of toppers, the board will issue merit certificates to the top 0.1 per cent students who have secured the highest marks in different subjects.
The board also recorded a dip in the overall pass percentage this year. According to official data, the overall pass percentage for full subjects in 2026 stands at 85.20 per cent. Last year, the pass percentage was 88.39 per cent, showing a decline of 3.19 percentage points.
Students who appeared for the Class 12 board examinations can check their results on the official CBSE result portal. The marksheets are also available on other government platforms and mobile applications.
Apart from the official website results.cbse.nic.in, students can access their scorecards through cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker, UMANG app, and results.gov.in. The board has also provided result access through SMS services.
Students are advised to keep their roll number, school numberand admit card ID ready while checking their results online.
