Himachal Pradesh fire: Massive fire broke out in the heritage market of Kasauli town in Himachal Pradesh in the early hours of Monday. Several shops including  three restaurants and a chemist shop suffered incured heavy losses.

Preliminary investigation suggested that the fire was triggered by a blast in an LPG cylinder in one of the shops. The situation worsened after multiple LPG cylinders exploded one after the other, further intensifying the blaze.

Fire engines were called from nearby places like Parwanoo to help control the fire, as it was still not under control.

Shopkeepers rushed to the spot to try and save their goods, but faced problems such as delays in the arrival of fire engines, said local trader Nitin Sahu. Thick black smoke could be seen rising into the sky from a distance, as the fire was still not controlled even by 7:00 am.
