Five killed, several injured after bein run over by truck in Madhya Pradesh's Dindori
PTC News Desk: Five people were killed and one person was injured after a truck ran over them on a highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Dindori district early Sunday morning, police said.
The accident happened around 1 am on the Jabalpur–Amarkantak National Highway near Kikratalaab village. The victims were travelling in a pickup vehicle and had stopped after one of its tyres got punctured. While the driver was fixing the tyre, everyone got out of the vehicle.
At that time, a fast-moving truck hit them. According to police, the truck driver said he had dozed off and did not see the people on the road.
Five men, including the pickup driver, died on the spot, while one person was injured and taken to the hospital. The truck driver has been arrested, police said.
