Hyderabad: Bomb threat on British Airways flight turns out to be hoax

PTC Web Desk:  The Hyderabad police confirmed that a bomb threat received on a British Airways flight from London was a hoax. The email, sent early Monday to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport authorities, claimed that a bomb was on board the aircraft carrying over 200 passengers.

The flight landed safely in Hyderabad at approximately 5.30 am. "CISF and police teams conducted thorough checks, but no suspicious items were found," a police official stated.

The authorities have registered a case, and investigations are ongoing to identify the source of the hoax threat.
