Bail by black magic? Man caught performing tantric spell on Chhattisgarh HC Chief Justice to secure bail

PTC News Desk: A strange incident took place in Deori village, under the Sipat police station area of Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh, where four people allegedly performed a midnight black magic ritual in an attempt to influence a High Court case.

The group gathered at a cremation ground on Friday night and allegedly performed the ritual over a photograph of Chhattisgarh High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha.

Some villagers had noticed suspicious activity near the cremation ground and reached the spot. They caught the group while the ritual was still underway. Three of the suspects managed to escape in the darkness, while villagers caught one man, identified as Rishikesh Kumar, and handed him over to the police.

Police later searched the cremation ground and found several items arranged around the photograph of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha. They also found photographs of two other unidentified people. The items included dead fish, lemons, vermilion, coconuts and other objects commonly used in tantric or occult rituals.

The incident shocked local residents and led the police to begin an investigation.

Bail Attempt Behind the Ritual

During preliminary questioning, police learned that the group allegedly carried out the ritual to help a relative of one of the suspects get bail.

The relative is currently in jail in connection with a serious stabbing case, and his bail plea is pending before the Chhattisgarh High Court.

The detained suspect reportedly told police that he had contacted a person claiming to be an occult practitioner through social media. The practitioner allegedly convinced the group that performing a ritual over the judge’s photograph at a cremation ground could help influence the court and secure a favourable bail decision for their jailed relative.
