Haryana tragedy: Anganwadi worker recorded final video before allegedly killing her two children, dies by suicide; husband booked
Haryana tragedy: A shocking case has emerged from Haryana's Fatehabad district, where a 31-year-old anganwadi worker and her two children were found dead at their home in Mehuwala village. The police have now registered a case against the woman's husband after her family accused him of prolonged harassment and drug addiction. The deceased have been identified as Sudesh, her 10-year-old daughter Jyoti, 8-year-old son Vineet.
The police suspect mother poisoned children before drowning them in the water tank at home.
According to the preliminary investigation, Sudesh allegedly mixed poison in water and gave it to her two children before drowning them in a water storage tank inside the house.
The police further suspect that after killing the children, Sudesh consumed poison herself and jumped into the same tank, leading to her death. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem and forensic examination.

Woman reportedly recorded a video before her death
Investigators said Sudesh recorded a video on her mobile phone shortly before the incident. According to her family, the woman spoke about the mental agony she was facing and allegedly blamed her husband for repeatedly harassing her. She had also reportedly shared a video and a social media reel before the incident.
The police have taken possession of the mobile phone and are examining the video as part of the investigation.
Sudesh's brother Praveen alleged that his sister had been struggling because of her husband's alleged drug addiction and abusive behaviour. He said Sudesh and Sandeep had love marriage in 2014 and had two children together. According to the family, she had been under severe mental stress due to domestic problems.
Praveen told the police that on August 6, Sandeep informed him that Sudesh and the children were missing. A search was launched, following which all three were found dead inside the water tank at the house.
The police said Sandeep was not at home when the incident occurred. He had reportedly gone to the local railway station to distribute drinking water to passengers, while his mother had travelled to Sirsa for medical treatment.
Based on the complaint filed by the deceased woman's brother, the police have registered an FIR against Sandeep Machra under Sections 103(1) and 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Sub-Inspector Vijender Pilania said the investigation is underway and further action will depend on the post-mortem findings, forensic evidence and other material collected during the probe.
