PTC News Desk: Panic gripped Gurugram’s Sector 45 on Thursday (September 18) after unidentified gunmen opened fire at the office of MNR Builder. Preliminary reports suggest that 25 to 30 rounds were fired near the Millennium City Centre Metro Station, where five armed assailants targeted the property marketing company MNR Buildmark around 9:20 pm. The gunfire shattered glass windows and damaged a luxury car parked inside the premises, though no casualties were reported. Employees and local residents were left shaken by the violence.

According to eyewitnesses, the masked attackers scaled the main gate of the upscale office building before unleashing a barrage of bullets. The sound of rapid gunfire sent bystanders running for cover. By the time police reached the scene, the assailants had escaped. Investigators recovered more than 30 bullet shells and launched a search operation in nearby areas. CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify the shooters. Wanted gangster Deepak Nandal has since claimed responsibility in a social media post, raising suspicions of gang rivalry and extortion behind the attack. Police have tightened security across the city and said efforts are underway to nab the culprits.

The gunmen not only targeted the office but also fired at vehicles parked inside the compound. Bullet marks on walls and cars stood as stark reminders of the indiscriminate firing. Witnesses described hearing a volley of gunshots as chaos spread among staff and residents nearby.

Security on high alert

Senior police officials and forensic teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The premises were sealed off, and a large contingent of police was deployed, underlining the seriousness of the attack.
