Pre-New Years eve: Thane rave party raids lead to almost 100 detained

Mumbai, December 31: In a pre-emptive move ahead of New Year's Eve celebrations, the Thane Police in Maharashtra conducted a raid on a suspected rave party, resulting in the detention of almost 100 individuals allegedly involved in drug consumption.

The operation, led by the Crime Branch Unit of the Thane Police, unfolded in the early hours of Sunday, commencing at 2 am. Among those taken into custody were the two individuals believed to have organized the party.

The raid uncovered and confiscated various illicit substances, including LSD and marijuana, suggesting the presence of drug use at the event. The detained individuals are currently undergoing medical examinations as part of the ongoing investigation to substantiate the allegations of drug consumption.
