PTC Web Desk: “You left me on my birthday. You left when we were so close to getting married.”

These were the words shared by Sia Goyal in an emotional social media post days after the death of her fiancé, Ketan Vishal Agarwal. The message, filled with grief and memories of their relationship, appeared to be a heartfelt farewell to a man who had allegedly died in a tragic fall.

Less than a week later, that same post has become a key part of a murder investigation.

The police have arrested Sia Goyal and another man, identified as Chetan Chaudhary, in connection with the death of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal, a Pune-based real estate businessman who died after falling into a deep gorge at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra.

Ketan's death initially appeared to be a tragic accident. According to the first account given to the police, he had lost his balance and fallen from the fort while on an outing with his fiancée amid strong winds. An accidental death case was registered and the incident seemed destined to be treated as an unfortunate mishap.

However, investigators later found several inconsistencies in the statements and circumstances surrounding the incident. As the probe widened, the police began examining Ketan's personal relationships and events leading up to his death.

According to investigators, Ketan and Sia had recently gotten engaged and were planning to marry later this year. Family members had already begun making elaborate arrangements for the wedding, including booking a palace venue in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The police allege that while wedding preparations were underway, Sia was also involved in a relationship with another man, Chetan Chaudhary. Investigators claim that the two viewed Ketan as an obstacle and allegedly conspired to remove him from their lives.

According to the police investigation, Ketan was taken to Lohagad Fort on June 18 under the pretext of a casual trip. Officials allege that Chetan later joined them at the location and that the pair pushed Ketan into a gorge nearly 400 feet deep, causing his death.

The police believe the incident was carefully staged to resemble an accidental fall.

Following the findings of the investigation, Pune Rural Police arrested both accused on Tuesday. A case has been registered under provisions related to murder and criminal conspiracy based on a complaint filed by Ketan's father.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and additional evidence is being examined.

What began as a love story headed toward a lavish wedding has now become the centre of a shocking murder case, leaving two families searching for answers and a community stunned by the allegations.
