PTC Web Desk: Tension was reported at Kohrian village of Sangrur district after an AAP sarpanch allegedly prevented members of the 180 ETT TET-Passed Teachers Union from holding a rally in the area.

The teachers' union had planned a protest against Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema in his Assembly constituency as part of its ongoing protest over pending demands. The group has been organising rallies in different villages, accusing the Punjab Government of failing to address their long-standing issues.

According to union members, they were scheduled to conduct a public outreach rally at Kohrian village when they were stopped from proceeding. The incident led to a tense atmosphere in the village for some time.

The 180 ETT TET-Passed Teachers Union has been protesting for a long period, demanding employment opportunities and fulfillment of promises made by the state government. As part of their protest, members have been visiting villages across Punjab to highlight their concerns and seek public support.
