PTC Web Desk: In a major push towards clean and sustainable energy, the Haryana Government has set an ambitious target to install 2.2 lakh rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana by the financial year 2026–27.
Demonstrating its strong commitment to green energy, Haryana has also resolved to solarise all government buildings by December 31, 2025, without seeking any Central Financial Assistance (CFA). A survey of 4,523 government buildings has already been completed, identifying a total solar potential of 122 MW.
This action plan was shared during a State-Level Coordination Committee (SLCC) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, where senior officials reviewed the scheme’s progress and discussed strategies for statewide implementation.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Secretary Rastogi said, “Haryana is not just promoting solar power; we are making it accessible to households, especially in rural areas, in line with our vision of sustainable and inclusive development.”
