A college girl was critically after a bus she was riding overturned near Ajnala on Tuesday morning. The victim has been identified as Jaspreet Kaur (19), was on her way to college.

According to PTC News, the bus was going to Ajnala from Amritsar. Nearly 35-40 passengers were on-board when this accident took place. The bus was travelling at a speed of 25 km/hr. Because of some mechanical glitch, the steering got free and the bus went out of control leading to this major accident.

The victim was standing near the door and her leg got cut off on the spot. She was rushed to a nearby hospital. Police also reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter. The driver of the bus is absconding.
