Couldn’t meet PM Modi on his birthday so she set bus on fire
A woman from Varanasi set a bus on fire as she was sad over not being able to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his recent visit to his parliamentary constituency.
The woman, Vandana Raghuvanshi was later arrested by the police. She was campaigning for a separate state of Purvanchal carved out of Uttar Pradesh.
Raghuvanshi went to the Varanasi bus-stand and boarded a state-run Volvo bus at 11 am Wednesday.
She then asked the passengers to get down, sprinkled petrol in the bus and torched it, as per eyewitness. None of the passengers were hurt as they got off the bus before the flames started.
