Punjab: 20 cows suspiciously die after consuming fodder at Gaushala in Phagwara
Soon after the incident, several Hindu leaders, including Shiv Sena’s Inderjit Karwal, rushed to the gaushala and expressed concerns over the incident. The leaders also alleged suspected animal poisoning that killed several cows.
PTC News Desk: 20 cows were found dead under mysterious circumstances at Shri Krishan Gaushala in Phagwara. Another 28 cows are severely ill and undergoing treatment.
The cows fell ill after they consumed fodder. Soon after the incident, several Hindu leaders, including Shiv Sena’s Inderjit Karwal, rushed to the gaushala and expressed concerns over the incident. The leaders also alleged suspected animal poisoning that killed several cows.
SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said the police had started an investigation. She said the carcasses had been sent to Ludhiana for post-mortem while the ill cows were being treated locally.
