PTC News Desk: A drunk police official went on a rampage on Kaimbwala Road behind Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh, triggering massive chaos. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Daljit Singh under influence of alcohol rammed into nearly a dozen vehicles one after another.

According to the eyewitnesses, ASI was heavily intoxicated that he could barely see the road ahead, plowing into vehicle one after another, creating panic and chaos on the road. After continuously hitting other vehicles, his car finally came to a halt after colliding head-on with an oncoming school bus.

He is suspected to have hit dozen vehicles, including cars and scooters.

After the crash, eyewitnesses quickly alerted the Police Control Room (PCR). When the PCR team reached the location, they struggled to free the ASI from the wrecked vehicle. After several attempts, the officers managed to pull him out.

The ASI suffered a severe injury to his forehead when the windshield broke on impact, causing heavy bleeding. The PCR team immediately transported him to the hospital. Initial inquiries revealed that the ASI was driving while intoxicated. Both departmental and legal proceedings have been set in motion against him.

When the PCR team arrived, the ASI was trapped inside the damaged car, and officers ultimately had to break open the door to rescue him. The shattered windscreen caused a deep cut on his forehead, and blood was seen on his face, including near his eye.
