Tarn Taran accident: One schoolchild among two dead as school van, truck collide head-on

Tarn Taran, December 3: Two persons, including a girl student, were killed while 11 others, one of them critically, injured when a school bus collided head-on with a truck near a village of Tarn Taran district on Saturday. The accident took place due to dense fog. The bus driver also died on the spot. However, the truck driver fled the spot after the accident.

As per information, the school bus of Mai Bhago International School, Usman, was carrying students to school when due to dense fog it collided head-on with a speeding truck, which was on its way to Goindwal Sahib.  Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the screams and started rescue operation.



A police team, led by Sub Inspector Iqbal Singh from Goindwal Sahib police station, reached the spot.

SDM Rajnish Arora said further investigations into the case were on. The injured were being provided all possible help.
