Woman found dead in Mohali two months after marriage, husband held for murder
Police reached the spot, took possession of the body, and sent it to the Civil Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
PTC News Desk: A man allegedly murdered his wife under the influence of alcohol in Mohali. The couple had been married for only two months. The deceased woman had visible injuries on her head and face.
The deceased has been identified as Radhika (29), while the accused has been identified as Ravi (32). Police reached the spot, took possession of the body, and sent it to the Civil Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination.
Radhika was murdered on Monday evening. Neighbours learned about the incident on Tuesday and informed the police. The post-mortem will be conducted on Wednesday. Phase-11 police have registered a case of murder against the husband and begun an investigation.
Neighbours said Ravi was heavily intoxicated on Monday evening and had a heated argument with his wife. Radhika reportedly used to stop him from drinking. In a fit of rage, Ravi attacked her on the head with a sharp-edged weapon, killing her on the spot.
When the couple was arguing on Monday, locals had already alerted the police. Officers reached the house but found the door locked, and no one responded. The police then returned.
