Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh conducts aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Patiala and Sangrur

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday conducts an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Patiala and Sangrur, to assess the damage to the crops and other assets. The Punjab CM did an aerial survey to check out how much the damage caused due to flooding which took place because of breaching in Ghaggar river catchment area, following the torrential rains. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1153553891025412096 Punjab Chief Minister was seen watching the flood-affected areas from the top, in a pictures revealed by the agency ANI. Likewise, Media Advisor Raveen Thukral shared a video on Twitter, in which he wrote, "During his aerial survey in Sangrur, Captain Amarinder Singh gets a bird’s eye view of the damage caused by floods due to breach in Ghaggar river as a result of torrential rains." https://twitter.com/i/status/1153545764779380736 The incident took place followed by the heavy rainfalls in a past week due to which the water level was flowing above the limit. Hence, the Army jawans were called for help. The water level is now going down following the extreme heat waves from the past two days. -PTC News
