Rajiv Kapoor; actor, brother of Randhir, Rishi Kapoor, passes away at 58

Bollywood actor-director-producer Rajiv Kapoor, younger brother of Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor passed away at 58.

According to the reports, he suffered a massive heart attack, following which he was rushed to the hospital.

Rajiv's brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news, saying, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him.”

"I am at the hospital, waiting for his body." he added.

Rajiv's sister-in-law and Rishi Kapoor's wife actress Neetu Kapoor also shared a post on social media along with a picture of the late actor, mourning his death.

Rajiv Kapoor made his film debut in 1983 with Ek Jaan Hain Hum. He was seen as the leading actor in father Raj Kapoor's last directorial venture Ram Teri Ganga Maili (1985). His most notable being Aasmaan (1984), Lover Boy (1985), Zabardast (1985) and Hum To Chale Pardes (1988).

Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor were his uncles. Prithviraj Kapoor was his paternal grandfather and Trilok Kapoor was his paternal great-uncle.

His last film appearance was in Zimmedaar (1990) after which he turned to producing and directing films.
